Peacock Ore is the common make given to the mineral Bornite. This stone is a copper iron sulphate mineral that when first extracted has a bronze copper-red look that tarnishes to the iridescent purple, pink and rarely blue when exposed to the air. This bold tarnish colour is why this stone has become a popular choice in collections and why the name is so well know.  Peacock ore is said to be good at treating chemical imbalances, restore harmony and clarity of thought.
